Description
Family planning in PMA2014/Ethiopia: modern contraceptive prevalence among married women aged 15–49 reached 33.8% (up from 27.3% in 2011) and 42.3% among unmarried sexually active women, with 57.7% of total demand satisfied by a modern method, yet unmet need remained at 24.4%. The method mix was dominated by injectables (75.1% among married users), and while nearly all facilities offered family planning, long-acting options were scarce in the private sector — only 7% of private SDPs offered IUDs or implants.
