Description
Family planning in PMA Ethiopia 2020 (October–December 2020): modern contraceptive prevalence plateaued at 25.0% among all women and 35.6% among married women, with unmet need continuing to fall (13.0% all women, 19.2% married) and demand satisfied by a modern method unchanged at 63%. Injectables (59%) and implants (30%) still dominated the married method mix, but quality of care showed no improvement — only 13% of women received full method information (MII+), just 13% had discussed family planning with a provider in the past year, and 32% of use episodes were discontinued within 12 months.
