Cohort Two Six-Months and One-Year Postpartum Surveys, 2021-2023

PMA Ethiopia tracked women from pregnancy through one year after birth (2021–2023). About 45% had four or more antenatal visits, 62% delivered in a facility, and only 32% had a fully vaccinated baby — just 14% received all four key services. Contraceptive use rose from 10% at six weeks to 42% at one year, though unmet need stayed around 30%, and few women were offered family planning information during their baby's immunization visits.
