Health management information system

EPMA provides an external check that a routine reporting system cannot generate for itself. It recounts facility registers and compares them with what was reported through DHIS2, showing which indicators can be relied upon and how far others differ, so that routine figures can be interpreted and adjusted. Measures include verification factors for key indicators; HMIS infrastructure, reporting practices and feedback received by facilities; the functioning of performance monitoring teams and facility data quality checks; and routine, register and household survey estimates for the same areas and period.
